Hello, I’m Mari, and my husband and I truly love calling Eden Prairie home. From volunteering at Flying Cloud Airport to discovering the magic of snowy runs around Staring Lake, I have experienced the spark that makes Eden Prairie such a special place to build our family. This spring, I also completed the Eden Prairie City Government Academy, which gave me a deeper appreciation for how our city works and the people who make it feel like home.

I’m an engineering manager in the aerospace industry, where my team develops new sensors that go on commercial aircrafts, military platforms, and rockets. I spend my days mentoring engineers, guiding strategic manufacturability decisions, and improving policies and procedures so our business runs more efficiently. I hold an Engineering Physics degree from UC Berkeley and an MBA from the University of Minnesota’s Carlson School.

I also chair a nonprofit that brings computer science and entrepreneurship programs to students. I help shape our strategy, review financials, audit policies, and lead initiatives like building a data dashboard to help us operate more effectively. I love seeing students light up when they realize what they’re capable of.

Across my work and community involvement, I’ve learned how to lead with purpose, support people’s growth, think strategically, and hold myself and others accountable. These are the strengths I hope to bring to the Eden Prairie School Board as we work together to lift every learner.
